Alpha Crucis (α Crucis, afgekort as Alpha Cru of α Cru) is ’n sterregroep sowat 321 ligjare van die Son af[2][10] in die sterrebeeld en asterisme Suiderkruis (Crux). Met ’n gesamentlike skynbare magnitude van 0,76 is dit die helderste ster in die Suiderkruis en die 13de helderste ster in die naglug. Dit is die mees suidelik geleë eerstemagnitude-ster, net effens meer suid as Alpha Centauri.[11]

Alpha Crucis lyk met die blote oog soos ’n enkele ster, maar dit is eintlik ’n groep van verskeie sterre. Twee komponente kan visueel onderskei word: α1 Crucis en α2 Crucis; ook genoem α Crucis A en α Crucis B. Albei is B-tipe sterre, wat baie swaarder en helderder as die Son is. α1 Crucis is self ’n spektroskopiese dubbelster met die komponente α Crucis Aa (ook bekend as Acrux)[12] en α Crucis Ab.
