The 1st Mobile Contingent is a corps leader grade[1] formation of China's People's Armed Police (PAP). It was formed in 2017-2018 during PAP reforms[2] from units previously subordinated to PAP mobile divisions.[3]
Mobile contingents are rapid response formations[4] tasked with internal stability, wartime support,[5] and disaster relief.[6] The 1st Mobile Contingent is likely specifically tasked with reinforcing internal security forces in Beijing.[1]
