Caquenga's Revolt

Caquenga's Revolt occurred in 1607 in the area of modern-day Rizal, Cagayan. The leader of the revolt was Andrés Caquenga, an animist priestess in the Malaueg community. The arrival of Fray Pedro, a Dominican friar, triggered a revolt that spread throughout the surrounding region.[1]
