Elizabeth Bolton (rabbi)

Elizabeth (Liz) Bolton (born 1956) is a rabbi, feminist, and activist. Hired in 2013 by Reconstructionist synagogue Or Haneshamah, she is Ottawa’s first female and openly gay rabbi.[1] In the late 1980’s, she led efforts to address the exclusion of women from the cantorate in Canada.[2]
