He is the best selling solo artist of all time, selling over 600 million records globally.[1][2] Despite the absence of his many hits during his peak years prior to October 1958, Billboard still ranks Presley as the 13th Greatest Artist of all Time.[3] Music historian Joel Whitburn ranked Presley as the number 1 charting single and album artist of all time in the US, Both Billboard And Cashbox.[4] Elvis' Christmas Album remains the biggest selling holiday album of all time, selling over 20 million copies worldwide.[5] According to the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), Presley has sold 146.5 million certified albums in the US, making him the third top-selling album artist in the country.[6]
