European Sea Ports Organisation

The European Sea Ports Organisation or ESPO, founded in 1993, is the representative body of the port authorities, port associations and port administrations of the seaports of the member states of the European Union and of Norway. Its membership includes ports from non-member states of the European Union which are admitted under observer status.[1][2][3]

The headquarters of ESPO are in Brussels and include a General Assembly, an Executive Committee and 8 special committees.[1] The ESPO represents the interests of the seaports of the European Union.[1][2][3] ESPO represents over 98 percent of the seaports of the European Union,[3] and has direct communication with 500 European ports.[3]
