Fuji (富士市, Fuji-shi) is a city in eastern Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. As of 1 December 2019^[update], the city had an estimated population of 245,015 in 106,087 households,^[1] and a population density of 1,000 persons per km². The total area of the city is 244.95 square kilometers (94.58 sq mi). Fuji is the third largest city in terms of population in Shizuoka Prefecture, trailing Hamamatsu and Shizuoka.
