Heritage tourism

Heritage tourism is a form of tourism that revolves around a region's tangible and intangible cultural heritage. This can involve people, objects, and places associated with the past.[1] Cultural Heritage tourism focuses on the human element of these sites.[2]

Heritage tourism focuses on exploring and experiencing the cultural, historical, and natural heritage of a destination.[3] It involves visiting places of historical significance, engaging with local traditions, and learning about the past and present aspects of a community or region.[4] This form of tourism can emphasize the preservation and appreciation of cultural and historical resources, sometimes contributing to the economic development of the area.[5]
