Jeremy Allen Moss (born June 23, 1986) is an American politician from Southfield, Michigan currently representing the 7th State Senate District, which includes all of Auburn Hills, Bloomfield Hills, Bloomfield Township, Lake Angelus, Lathrup Village, Pontiac, Southfield, and parts of Detroit, Southfield Township, and Waterford Township.[1][2] A member of the Democratic Party, he is the first openly LGBT person elected to the Michigan Senate, as well as the first to serve as President Pro Tempore.[1] Moss previously served in the Michigan House of Representatives from 2014 - 2018, and remains the youngest-ever member of the Southfield City Council.[3][4]
