John Joseph Barry (born 6 December 1966[2]) is an Irish academic, green political economist and former Green Party politician. He was a councillor on Ards and North Down Borough Council from May 2014 to March 2018.[3]

He is a former co-chair of the party, having held the position from 2003 until standing down in April 2009.[4]
