KPEL-FM

KPEL-FM (96.5 MHz, "NewsTalk 96.5 KPEL") is a radio station licensed to the community of Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, and serving the Lafayette, Louisiana area. The station is owned by Townsquare Media and licensed to Townsquare Media of Lafayette, LLC. It airs a news/talk format.^[1] Its studios are located on Bertrand Road in Lafayette, and its transmitter is located in Abbeville, Louisiana.

The station is led by Brand Manager Joe Cunningham, who also manages KROF-AM (960 AM, "TalkRadio960") and KPEL-AM 1420/103.3 FM (The GOAT). The station's line-up consists of local and nationally syndicated content. The local shows include "Acadiana's Morning News" with Tracy Wirtz from 6-9 a.m., "The Josh Guillory Show" featuring former Lafayette Mayor-President Josh Guillory at 4 p.m., and "The Joe Cunningham Show" with Cunningham at 5 p.m.

It is also the flagship station for "The Moon Griffon Show," featuring statewide-syndicated host Moon Griffon, and also features "The Dan Bongino Show," featuring nationally-syndicated host Dan Bongino.

The station also broadcasts all Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns baseball games.

The station switched frequencies to 96.5 FM effective June 25, 2010.
