He competes full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series, driving the No. 8 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 for Richard Childress Racing, part-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, driving the No. 33 Chevrolet Camaro also for RCR, and part-time in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, driving the No. 7 Chevrolet Silverado for Spire Motorsports. Busch is the former owner of Kyle Busch Motorsports, a race team that fielded cars in the Xfinity Series from 2011 to 2013 and the Truck Series between 2010 and 2023. He is nicknamed "Rowdy" and "Wild Thing" for his driving style,[3] "the Candy Man" due to his longtime sponsorship with Mars, Incorporated,[4] "Shrub", as the younger brother of Kurt Busch and a small bush being called a shrub,[5] "Kyle Kush" due to his partnership with cannabis company 3Chi,[6] and the self-titled "KFB".[7]
