Matuguinao, officially the Municipality of Matuguinao (Waray: Bungto han Matuguinao; Tagalog: Bayan ng Matuguinao), is a 5th class municipality in the province of Samar, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 7,364 people, making it the least populated municipality in the province.[3]

Matuguinao were named as a municipal district of Gandara in the year 1948 to 1960 and were converted into a municipality in 1965.
