Michael I. Kotlikoff is an American biomedical researcher, academic leader, and veterinarian who served as the provost of Cornell University since before his appointment as interim president of the university in 2024[1].[2] His work on cardiovascular biology, optogenetics, mouse genetics, and ion channel function has been continuously funded by the National Institutes of Health since 1986.
