Smashing Magazine is an online publication, catering primarily to web developers and web designers^[1] worldwide. It was launched in 2006 by Sven Lennartz and Vitaly Friedman, who were both part of the German-based Smashing Media AG at the time. In 2012, the magazine diversified its services through organizing web design conferences across Europe and North America.
