Tigrinya (ትግርኛ, Təgrəñña), sometimes spelled Tigrigna, is an Ethio-Semitic language commonly spoken in Eritrea and in northern Ethiopia's Tigray Region by the Tigrinya and Tigrayan peoples respectively.^[3] It is also spoken by the global diaspora of these regions.
