Vidyadhara (Sanskrit: Vidyadhara; meaning 'Knowledge-holder','Awareness-Holder') is the word in Buddhist literature for a person having the great knowledge (vidya) of mantras and samatha. A realized master on one of the four stages on the tantric path of Mahayoga.[citation needed]
