This page serves WikiProject Ships editors as a resource for ensigns for countries around the world. These are the flags that are generally used in ship infoboxes. For some countries, the national flag also serves as the ensign, while other countries have separate national flags; civil ensigns, those used for private or merchant vessels; and state or government ensigns, those used for non-military government ships. The list should not be necessarily taken as complete or authoritative, nor is it attempting to list every ensign ever flown by any national entity. If you know of an ensign that is missing from the list, however, please help us out and add it.

The list is split into a Naval ensigns section and an Other ensigns section, and within each of the two, further split by global region.
