Egiptoko piramideak

Egiptoko piramideak antzinako piramide itxurako eraikuntzak dira, Egipton daudenak. 2008an, iturrien arabera 118 edo 138 piramide identifikatu daude Egipton^[1][2]. Gehienak, faraoia eta ezkontideak lurperatzeko eraiki ziren, Egiptoko Inperio Zaharraren eta Ertainaren garaietan^[3][4].

Egiptoko piramide zaharrenak Saqqara herrian daude, Menfis antzinako hiriburuaren ipar-mendebaldean. Horien artean zaharrena Zoserren piramidea da, K.a. 2630–2610 inguru eraikia, III. dinastian^[5]. Piramide hau eta inguruetako multzoa Imhotep arkitektoak diseinatu zuen, eta munduko harlanduzko eraikuntza monumental zaharrentzat jotzen da.^[6].

Ezagunenak Gizan daude, Kairoko aldirietan. Gizako piramideak munduan eraiki diren egitura handienen artean daude^[7]. Keopsen piramidea da Egiptoko piramide handiena, eta zutik dirauen munduko zazpi mirarien artean bakarra.
