Limbo

Dalam teologi Katolik, Limbo (bahasa Latin limbus, tepi atau sempadan, merujuk kepada tepi Neraka ) adalah keadaan akhirat bagi mereka yang mati dalam dosa asal tanpa ditugaskan ke Neraka Terkutuk . Ahli-ahli teologi abad pertengahan Eropah Barat menyifatkan neraka ( "dunia api", " hades ", "Infernum") seperti yang dibahagikan kepada empat bahagian yang berbeza: Neraka yang terkutuk, ^[2] Purgatory, Limbo Bapa atau Patriark, dan Limbo daripada Infants . The Limbo of the Fathers [Bapa Gereja] ialah doktrin rasmi Gereja Katolik, tetapi Limbo of the Infants [Bayi] tidak.
