Sanhedrin

Sanhedrin (Ibrani: סנהדרין; Greek: συνέδριον,^[1] synedrion) adalah dewan yang merangkumi 23 orang hakim yang ditujukan pada setiap kota di Israel.^[2] Sanhedrin Agung adalah pengadilan tertinggi Israel kuno, dengan jumlah anggota sebesar 71 orang.

Pada catatan Kristian dan peranan Sanhedrin dalam penyaliban Jesus Christ sering dianggap sebagai penyebab anti-Semitisme Kristian dan dianggap sebagai topik yang sensitif.
