List of United States House of Representatives committees

There are two main types of congressional committees in the United States House of Representatives, standing committees and select committees.

The current House committees were created from the Legislative Reorganization Act of 1946. This bill decreased the number of House committees, and it changed the committees' jurisdictions.^[1]
