Nankana Sahib, (Shahmukhi: Persian: ننکانہ صاحب; Gurmukhi: Punjabi: ਨਨਕਾਣਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ) is a city in the Nankana Sahib district. This new district formed in 2005. The city used to be called Rai-Bhoi-Di-Talwandi and was part of the old Sheikhupura District. Nankana Sahib is in the region of Punjab. It is about 75 kilometres west of Lahore and about 55 kilometres east of Faisalabad. Nankana is the holiest city for Sikhs and Hindus.
