Death of Nizah Morris

Nizah Morris (1955 – December 24, 2002) was an American transgender entertainer. On December 22, 2002, Morris suffered a severe head injury from which she did not recover. Morris died on December 24, 2002, at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital,^[1] when she was removed from life support. The Philadelphia Police Department's handling of Morris' death sparked protests in the LGBT community^[2] and led to several investigations into the police coverup of her death.^[3]
