In Greek mythology, Jocasta (/ˈkæstə/ ), also rendered as Iocaste[1] (Ancient Greek: Ἰοκάστη Iokástē [i.okástɛː]) and Epicaste[2] (/ˌɛpɪˈkæst/; Ἐπικάστη Epikástē[3]), was Queen of Thebes through her marriages to Laius and her son, Oedipus.
