Pumbedita[a] (Jewish Babylonian Aramaic: פוּם בְּדִיתָא Pūm Bəḏīṯāʾ, "Mouth of the Bedita"[1]) was an ancient city located in modern-day Iraq. It is known for having hosted the Pumbedita Academy.
