Tell

'n Tell of tel (van Hebreeus: תֵּל, of uit Arabies: تلّ, tal)^[1]^[2] is 'n soort argeologiese kunsmatige heuwel wat weens menslike bewoning en desertering van 'n geografiese ligging oor verskeie eeue ontstaan het. 'n Klassieke tell lyk na 'n lae, afgeknotte konus met 'n gelyke bokant en hellings aan al die kante.^[3]
