Yakov Vladimirovich Rezantsev (Russian: Яков Владимирович Резанцев; 4 January 1973) is a Russian lieutenant general (two-star rank). Between 2020 and 2023, he commanded the 49th Army of the Southern Military District.[1]
According to Ukrainian officials, he was killed in Chornobaivka near Kherson (Ukraine) during the 2022 Chornobaivka attacks of the Russian invasion of Ukraine; Russian sources have not confirmed his death.
