Blackpink (Korean: 블랙핑크; commonly stylized as BLACKPINK or BLΛƆKPIИK) is a South Korean girl group that debuted on 8 August 2016. The group consists of members Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa. They are the highest-charting female K-pop act on both Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard 200. They are also the first and only K-pop girl group to enter and top the Billboard's Emerging Artists chart. In addition, Blackpink are also the first female K-pop group to have four number-one singles on Billboard's World Digital Song Sales chart. Their 2018 song "Ddu-Du Ddu-Du" was the most-viewed Korean music video in the first 24 hours on YouTube. In January 2019, it became the most viewed music video by a K-pop group on YouTube. They are currently the most subscribed music act, K-pop group and female artist on YouTube, with 92,7 million subscribers (as of January 2024). Blackpink was also the first female K-pop group to perform at Coachella. In 2018, Jennie was the first member to release a solo song, titled "Solo". Rosé released her single album R in 2021. Lisa also released a single album called Lalisa the same year. Jisoo released hers, called Me, in 2023.
