Aek (Hata Batak: ᯀᯀᯩᯂ᯲) ima sada mardomu anorganik dohot rumus kimia H₂O. Zat kimia na so tabo, ndang marbau, jala hira na so marwarna do i. Aek manutupi hira-hira 71% sian parmukaan ni hasiangan, jala laut mambahen godangan (hira-hira 96,5%)^[1]. Aek adong i hasiangan songon padat, cairan, dot gas^[2].
