Aaramta (عرمتى) is a village in the Jezzine District in southern Lebanon. Its name comes from Syriac-Aramaic ܥܪܡܐ (‘arma), feminine counterpart being ܥܪܡܬܐ (‘armta) [1] which means rugged, rough, steep, or high.
