AdventHealth is a Seventh-day Adventist nonprofit organization [ 8] [ 9] headquartered in Altamonte Springs, Florida , that operates facilities in 9 states across the United States . It is the largest not-for-profit Protestant health care provider in the country.[ 10] [ 11] In 2021, it was the second largest hospital network in Florida.[ 12] In February 2023, it was the fifteenth largest in the country.[ 13] Currently AdventHealth operates 55 hospitals on fifty-three campuses as of April 2025.
On January 2, 2019, Adventist Health System Sunbelt Healthcare Corporation,[ 14] also known as Adventist Health System/Sunbelt Inc.[ 15] and just Adventist Health System[ 16] rebranded its facilities under the trade name of AdventHealth.[ 17]
AdventHealth announced on September 1, 2022, a new test to quickly detect brain-eating amoebas .[ 18] [ 19]
