Aguanish is a municipality located on the north shore of the Gulf of St. Lawrence, in Minganie Regional County Municipality (RCM), Côte-Nord region, Quebec, Canada.[1]
In addition to Aguanish itself, the municipality also includes the hamlet of L'Île-Michon, 3.5 kilometres (2.2 mi) to the east.[5]

The hamlet is named L'Île-Michon in memory of Captain Jean-Phidyme Michon who was shipwrecked in November 1876
