Michael Alex Burghart^[1] (born 7 September 1977)^[2] is a British Conservative politician, academic and former teacher who has served as Member of Parliament (MP) for Brentwood and Ongar since 2017. He was formerly a special adviser to Theresa May and has served as Shadow Secretary of State for Northern Ireland since July 2024.^[3]
