Anakapalli district is a district in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It was formed on 4 April 2022 from Anakapalli and Narsipatnam revenue divisions of the old Visakhapatnam district.^[2] The administrative headquarters are at Anakapalli.^[3]^[4]^[5]^[6] Sankaram, 3 km from Anakapalli is identified to be developed as the headquarters of the new district.^[7]
