Avranches (French pronunciation: [avʁɑ̃ʃ] ^ⓘ; Norman: Avraunches) is a commune in the Manche department, and the region of Normandy, northwestern France. It is a subprefecture of the department.^[3] The inhabitants are called Avranchinais.^[4]
