The Battle of Meriam's Corner was a skirmish that occurred immediately after the Battles of Lexington and Concord on April 19, 1775. As British forces, under Lieutenant Colonel Francis Smith, began their retreat from Concord back toward Boston, colonial militias from surrounding towns rapidly mobilized.
