Box Butte County

Box Butte County is a county in the U.S. state of Nebraska. As of the 2020 United States Census, the population was 10,842.[1] Its county seat is Alliance.[2] The county was formed in 1886; it took its name from a large box-shaped butte north of Alliance.

In the Nebraska license plate system, Box Butte County is represented by the prefix 65 (it had the sixty-fifth largest number of vehicles registered in the county when the license plate system was established in 1922).
