The Buenos Aires Metropolitan Cathedral, officially called Buenos Aires Metropolitan Cathedral of the Holy Trinity (Spanish: Catedral Metropolitana de la Santísima Trinidad de Buenos Aires), is the main Catholic church in Buenos Aires, Argentina.[3]

It is located in the city center, overlooking Plaza de Mayo, on the corner of San Martín and Rivadavia streets, in the San Nicolás neighbourhood. It is the mother church of the Archdiocese of Buenos Aires and the primatial church of Argentina since 1822.[1] The cathedral was declared National Historic Monument in 1942.[1][2]
