Daniel Gilbert (born January 17, 1962) is an American billionaire, businessman, and philanthropist. He is the co-founder and majority owner of Rocket Mortgage and founder of Rock Ventures. Gilbert owns several sports franchises, including the National Basketball Association's Cleveland Cavaliers, the American Hockey League's Cleveland Monsters, and the NBA G League's Cleveland Charge. He operates the Rocket Arena in Cleveland, Ohio, home to the Cavaliers and Monsters. As of May 2025, Forbes estimated his net worth at US$22.5 billion, making him the 88th richest person in the world.[3] and according to Bloomberg Billionaires Index, with an estimated net worth of US$27.4 billion, he is the 71st richest individual in the world.[4]
