Derek Joel Myers is an American journalist.[1] Myers most notably spent 35 days in jail for fabricated charges filed against him by a police chief in Ohio.[2] The case was investigated by the FBI, which led to Myers being exonerated and the settlement of a $2.5 million federal civil rights lawsuit in his favor.[3][4]
