Jay Schulkin (1952 – March 17, 2023) was an American behavioral neuroscientist, philosopher, and public policy commentator. Throughout his career, Schulkin made significant contributions to the understanding of brain mechanisms, particularly in relation to sodium appetite and stress hormone neurobiology. He was a prolific scholar, authoring 40 books and over 500 articles and chapters.[1]
