Proto-Tungusic is the reconstructed common ancestor of the Tungusic languages, reconstructed using the comparative method. The core published sources on Proto-Tungusic are Сравнительная фонетика тунгусо-маньчжурских языков (Tsintsius 1949) and Die tungusischen Sprachen: Versuch einer vergleichenden Grammatik (Benzing 1956).^[1]^[2]^[3]
