Ekpeye people,[citation needed] also known as Ekpeye Kingdom, is an Igboid ethnic group in Rivers State, Niger Delta, Nigeria. They are predominantly found in Ahoada East and some in Ahoada West Local Government Areas in Rivers State. Ahoada is an Ekpeye city in Rivers, Nigeria. Some Ekpeye people claim to have migrated from Benin. However, there is considerable congruence between Igbo language and Ekpeye.
The Ekpeye people celebrate Ogwu Ekpeye.[1]
