Erwan Setiawan (born July 29, 1970) better known as Kang Erwan is the current Vice Governor of West Java since 2025.[2] He is also an Indonesian politician who served as Vice Regent of Sumedang from September 20, 2018, to September 20, 2023. Erwan was elected as Vice Regent of Sumedang with a pair of with Dony Ahmad Munir in the 2018 Sumedang Regent Election.
Before serving as deputy regent, Erwan was a legislator in the Bandung City Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) since 2009, becoming a Member of the Bandung City DPRD for the 2009-2014 Period, and was inaugurated as Speaker of the Bandung City DPRD.
Towards the end of his term as a council, he competed in the 2013 Bandung City mayoral election as a candidate for vice mayor of Bandung. At that time, he was paired with Edi Siswadi. However, the Edi-Erwan pair was defeated by the Ridwan Kamil-Oded M. Danial pair.[3]
