Freeland Wood is the Sheriff-elect of Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma. Wood retired from the Shawnee Police Department on March 31, 2024, with 36 years of service. He officially announced his candidacy for Pottawatomie County Sheriff on May 7, 2024, and was elected on June 18, 2024. [1]
