Hurricane Alley

Atlantic hurricane tracks from 1851 to 2019

Hurricane Alley is a colloquial term for the area of warm water in the Atlantic Ocean stretching from the west coast of northern Africa to the east coast of Central America and Gulf Coast of the Southern United States. Also known as the Main Development Region, many tropical cyclones form within this area. Record-breaking sea surface temperatures in Hurricane Alley are now on average hotter than any time on record.[1][2]
