Islam Issa is an Egyptian-British[1] scholar, author and broadcaster, a Professor of Literature and History at Birmingham City University whose research has specialized in Early Modern English literature and the reception of Renaissance.
Issa was named by the BBC as "one of the UK's most significant new thinkers".[2] CBC described Issa as "an Egyptian icon".[3]
