Jesse Saunders (born on 10 March 1962) is an American house music musician, DJ, record producer, film producer, and entrepreneur.[1] His 1984 single, "On & On", co-written with Vince Lawrence, is widely regarded as one of the first house music records to be commercially released on vinyl.[2][3] Throughout his career, Saunders has founded and managed multiple independent record labels, produced music and films, and worked in artist promotion and management. He is a member of The Recording Academy (formerly the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences).[citation needed]
