Kushi (transl. Happiness) is a 2001 Indian Telugu-language romantic comedy film written and directed by S. J. Suryah, and produced by A. M. Rathnam. The film stars Pawan Kalyan and Bhumika. Mani Sharma provided the score and soundtrack. Initially planned as a bilingual along with its Tamil version, also titled Kushi (2000), the Telugu version released a year later due to Pawan Kalyan's prior commitment to Badri (2000).[2][3][4]
Kushi was released on 27 April 2001.[5] It was a blockbuster at the box office and went on to become the highest-grossing Telugu film ever at the time.[6][7][8] It was re-released on 31 December 2022 in 4K and became the highest grossing Telugu re-release of all time surpassing another Pawan Kalyan film Jalsa.[9][10]
